To be confirmed tomorrow but definite trip dates are:

Annual Dinner: 18/19 Feb
Portland: 3/4 March
Ogwen: 17/18 March

There is also likely going to be a day trip to wye valley/peak district and a llangollen trip on the weekends of the 21/22 Jan and 4/5 Feb but cannot confirm this till tomorrow. (this could all change)

We'll keep you posted. :)

Cool. Wye Valley is interesting, which crag are you planning on going to?

my experience of the wye valley was not a positive one so just be careful where you are planning on going as some of it sounds fairly disused and a bit worse for wear

We are aware of this plus there's very little experience of the area so not to sure on this one either. Might be nice to go somewhere new though.

been to shorn cliff 3 times...awesome mid grade stuff as well as some harder...walk in is easy apart from the last bit can be overgrown...trees at the top to ab off as well...would be ideal for a day trip from brum

Where did you go in the Wye Valley? My experience of Ban-y-Gor was really quite good. This coupled with Winter's Leap next door makes for a good day out on a natural limestone outcrop. Quite a few popular routes in the lower and higher grades for both sport and trad. Also, they both use the same car park.

I did go to some rubbish quarry though after some getting some chips with Laurence. I think it was Wyndcliffe Quarry.

Would have um look it up again. Involved a scramble down a load of polished ledges but trying to escape out in the rain was very scary and I got lost a bit. The routes were also pretty hard to locate from the guide we had. I wouldn't write off the wye valley completely as I'm not the most lucky person but as I say I would need to look it up

Sounds like wintours leap. If you go in from the other end there's a gentle path and some single pitch climbing

Count me in for everything! I have some serious lack of outdoors to make up for :)
