oh yeah sorting codes on radios is annoying! i had to pay£30 over summer cause mine needed to be completly recoded, even though we thought we had the code! and confusing the first time you try and put in an 8!

my code is very sensibly on a piece of paper stuck to the stereo - i can't ever see it - but whoever steals the stereo has it.

At night, turn on your lights, then try to start your car, if your lights dim horribly it could be that your battry is failing.

Also if you lights dim when you turn turn onyour heated windscreen bad then also prob be your batt. When they get quite old they keep their voltage but loose their capacity as such which would explain why it gets charged but wears out very fast. At about 20-30 quid it would be a fairly cheap fix and if it is a old battery anyway it could use replacing either way

Afraid that doesn't solve the problem, the only noticeable differences in the car or it's performance is that a light comes on a minute after the car starts and that the heated windscreen won't turn on once this light comes on (if it was on previously it then turns off). I've done about 1000 miles since the light started coming on now and there is still no change in anything other than this.
