IT'S TIME FOR THE FIRST SOCIAL OF THE YEAR!! HELLS YEAH!!
Crack out the fancy dress guys, UBMC is heading back to Snobs!

When:Wednesday, the 3rd of October.
Where: We're meeting at the Gun Barrels Pub, aka Gunnies, in Selly Oak for some drinking, karaoke and general fun, before we head off to the fabulous nightclub Snobs.
What time: We're starting in Gunnies at 7:00 PM, make sure you're there! We'll head off to Snobs at around 11 PM.

ALSO, BECAUSE IT'S THE FRESHERS SOCIAL, FANCY DRESS IS MANDATORY
The theme for the night is Harry Potter, witches and wizards, so get inventive and go for it; anyone who comes 'understated' will be punished with a penny in their drink!

This is a great chance for new club members to come and get to know older members in a relaxed, friendly and slightly drunken environment. So don't be shy - dress up and come on down, because really, the only thing you should be afraid of is enjoying yourself too much

P.S: We are organising a group PICK-UP from outside Shackleton Hall on the Vale to walk any freshlings over to Gunnies, this will be at 6.30pm Alternatively, for those of you who want to find your own way there, the Gun Barrels Pub is on Bristol Road in Selly Oak, just round the corner from the Guild of Students, opposite the fire station. If you're still a bit worried, check it on Google maps or ask one of the committee next week at Redpoint!

P.P.S: To all you lovely freshers out there who don't know where snobs is, neither do I; I've never been sober enough to remember the journey there and certainly not back either. If you're still a bit worried about what snobs is all about, then unfortunately any memories of the committee members you'll see next week at Redpoint are hazy at best, but ask them anyway, they're a friendly bunch.
