I like the names! Not sure how I feel about being rammed into a small hole though...

GEAR WISE!

Everyone, could you let me know what gear you have, or what gear you will need?
This means we can judge how much gear is left for those not on scotland, and start getting all sorted for chirstmass.

If anyone needs a pair of size 10 1/2ish mountaineering boots I have some you can borrow, not really going to need them on a sunny beach!

For those who were asking about Dachstein mitts,

http://www.joe-brown.com/index.php?page ... t&Itemid=1

if you go instore (although they are up in walse) i think you can get BMC discount, (although you will definitely need your UBMC card to prove you are in the club)

Can I try on a helmet beforehand? I have big hair and it makes it hard finding hats and things that fit...

The large size of this will fit you, it fits me and my head is stupid. Cotswold usually have it and if they don't they will order one in so you can use the discount. But I'm sure some of petzls other ones will fit too, just go into shops and try them on.

Thanks I'll give it a try. Would still be cool to try on a couple of club ones though, see if I can find one that fits, as it would save me some cash. Also, what was the type of soft shell jacket you had, and how did you get it so cheap? Was it on sale or something?

Montane Extreme Smock, no it just costs £60. Softshell is cheaper than hardshell.
