.. I might be up for it, but what part of south france?
(I recommend Mt. Saint Victoire + Calanques of Marseille), have a guide book of the first one and I know the area a bit

... do you want to go in the beginning or late August?

oh yeah, it certainly will! I have been there three times already in past year but I have been climbing only once, so I would like to make up for it!

Would be up for in the first week of August!

.. I am really psyched, the routes over there look amazing!

.. and we should not forget other things - if we get tired of climbing there is just soooo much to do! I really loved Pont du Gard or one can just rent out a kayak and find themselves their very own little beach. :)

Just a word of advice, the parts of the Calanques are closed during August because the heat can cause fires in the area. Looked into it when we were in the area last year and most of the climbing was off limits at the time.

Or shag the many mountains around, even if you dont summit you could go up to the snow line.
