yeah i heard people wer gettin arsey about this. im sorry but only did it once and thought that as i hadnt paid by the "you have to pay this wednesday otherwise your not coming" date then i wasnt on the trip anyway. sos... but i have only "signed up" and pulled at the last minute once, i'd like to come on more but something always comes up!

Signup: Next Wednesday 21st November from 1400 – speak to me (Starley) at Creation, or call 07786863215. Deposit of £50 (Cash or cheque) by the following Wednesday (28th)

Cost: £125 no course, for competent mountaineers.
£185 with winter skills course, for those new to mountaineering.

I was just wondering, I've only been on one proper mountaineering expedition before, where we had about 2 days of glacial training and rope work on the mountain as well as lectures about required kit [some of which I own]. Would I still need to go on the winter skills course?

I'd really love to sign up to this one if possible. [Providing i can get the money in the next week]

If you've been taught everything on the course before then no, you dont need to do it. But there are quite a few differences between glacier crossing and scottish winter - so it's hard to say without knowing exactly what you've done. Probably best to talk to Starley in person
