IN AUSTRALIA!

Having come to the realisation that this upcomming year at Uni will dissapear rather quickly, resulting in me becoming a member of 'the unemployed youth' with lots of debt. I have come to the conclusion that I want to get out of this jobless, high tax paying, political mess of a contry as quickly as possible.

So where to go? ... Austrailia! Reasons? Higher paying jobs. Better tax rates. Better weather.
[Better climbing is debatlable, more a matter of tase]. Better 'work-life' balance. Plus they do actually want workers & graduates from the uk, so getting a travel & work visa shouldn't be difficult.

So, I'm perfectly happy to backpack it around Aus, whilst looking for a more permanent job in the country on my own. However if there are any like-minded people, who will want go there and do some climbing as well, let me know!

Or, I'd be interested to hear your opinions on the whole idea.

P.S. Hong Kong is also on the table, but unless you love indoor climbing and chineese food, it's probably not for you.

I was planning to go out there at some point next year, either during June July time. Or wait until our autumn to go so its a bit warmer over there.

Climbing is definitely on the cards so if our trips coincide could be cool.

Guys I cannot stress enough how worth while it would be to go to the blue mountains! A few hours outside sydney it is the most beautiful countryside I have ever seen. It is one of the few times I have really enjoyed sport climbing with great variety from slabby stuff to overhangs that would make dexter jizz himself.

There is a huge expanse of unexplored rock also which with time (and some real balls as it is sandstone!) could be such a cool adventure! The place you want to look for is katoomba (i think thats how it is spelt) I found a guide book in the climbing shop in Hathersage which is random as you couldnt get them out there. They may have brought out a new one by now but it is really worth looking into.
