For those of you that haven't been before, thats a mental amount of snow. Let see what the weather does for the next few days - but forecast says:
Quote:
Temperatures will remain below freezing point from valleys upward across almost all Scotland throughout the next 7 to 10 days.

EXCITED!

That's an insane amount of snow!! Hopefully it'll have a chance to consolidate before we head up!!

And now for some Homework!!

I don't want to scare anyone, but Avalanches can be a problem in Scotland particularly if there's a lot of snow (like now!), so everyone should follow these couple of links and read the basic information found there. It won't take you long and could save your life!

Have the UBMC fleeces appeared? It would be good to have them for Scotland...

Also, the snow looks awesome. The weather forecast says sunny for the next few days there as well. There's been a couple of inches of snow here in Herefordshire and it's got me in the winter mood :D

With regard to avalanches ; I'd also recomed you download this interactive quiz to test you learnings from TGs homework!
http://www.glenmorelodge.org.uk/avalanche.asp

I've been to this area of Scotland 5 times in winter now...never seen so much snow!

So...who is taking skis? I'm thinking about it, just need to see if a fit in some ski boots!

That was a very good trip despite having too much snow and we wouldn't have found that awesome icefall if we had been able to get into sneachda.

Great trip, thanks all that were a part of it. Cheers Tom for organising and everyone for being keen :-) A mental amount of snow compared to the previous few years! Laurence - Phil has your gloves I think.
Will try and sort photos and get them online later.
