Just a quick message to say that the conville course has opened for applications :)

http://www.pyb.co.uk/courses-conville-alpine.php

It is a great course to get on with 3 days in the alps with mountain guides! only for £110

There'll be a big group of people heading to the alps this summer so get involved!!!

Is anyone else going to do the course? I know Sandra and Rachel A are. I'm probably going to apply tonight and try and get dates for late June/early July to fit in with the other guys going to the alps in July. Anyone fancy the same dates?

Yeh it would be worth applying for the same dates - thats what me and Mauricio went for and we were on the same course.

Hello there

I would be interested in doing the Conville too, although it would depend on the actual dates of the course, does anyone know when they are? I would only be able to do those in July, as I have my first year report due at the end of June.

If some of us get a place I would be happy to drive.

Hey Nick,

The dates of the course are listed on the actual application form (http://www.pyb.co.uk/booking-form-conville.php). There's only one date in July (3 - 5), the one Henry's also going for. Rachel is applying for dates in June, but that probably doesn't help, given your deadline. I would say it's worth applying anyway, you might get your first option :)

I won't be able to make any of the course dates due to graduation, but I still hope to join everyone shortly after - there will definitely be a group going France in July. Alternatively, there's a bunch of us who might do alpine in August too, after sport. We'll know exactly what's going on once you guys hear back from Conville people and I have the exact date for my graduation.

Ahh, I did wonder where people had found out the actual dates. Might be able to make the last one in June but the July one would be better. Deadline on the 25th, then move house and then drive out to France, going to be a busy few weeks.

Having never done alpine before getting a place on the course would be a great benefit so I shall just have to apply and hope for the best.

Apart from Henry, does anyone know any one else interested in the course? (apart from Rachel) Three people from Birmingham on one course date would be pretty special.

I'd best start training...

Did anyone else get on the Conville Course for the 3rd - 5th of July? I am doing it with a friend, Owen.
Also, if anyone has any gear we could borrow for those dates I would be exceptionally grateful, as I am woefully under-geared :(
