For those of you interested in travelling and exploring new cultures and environments, there’s a company called Operation Wallacea that you may have heard of. It runs during the summer holiday and invites students to take part in conservation work at sites across the world. I myself took part in the South Africa and Mozambique programmes, and they were both great for outdoors types who like to be camping in natural places.

In a few weeks OpWall are giving a talk :
It’s in the Learning Centre in UG04, on Tuesday the 10th of November at 1pm.

Anyone who’s interested is welcome to come along and find out more, without being pressured into anything. It’s open to all students, not just natural scientists or similar.

From a personal perspective, it’s a fantastic experience to have, and also useful as work experience.

For any more information let me know and i shall email you more info.
