It's STANAGE time!!!!!

What it is?
The best weekend EVER packed full of climbing, meanie, ming, table and sock wrestling and immense amounts of fun!!
Where is it? Hathersage, St Michaels Environmental Education Centre!
When is it? Friday 5th - Sunday 7th October

How much dollar? £35
What do I get for my money? Transport all weekend, too and from bham and to the crags while we're there. You get a classy bed for both nights and complementary dinner on the Saturday night - MING! And to top it off you will be getting EXCESSIVE amounts of alcohol ** MEANIE** for all you wasters out there!!

What To Bring:
Clothes:
• Waterproof coat (trousers too if available)
• Warm clothes (fleece etc) This is very important, pretty nippy up north
• Thermals (if you have them)
• Walking boots (if not then shoes you don’t mind getting a bit muddy)
• Gloves, hat & scarf
• Anything else you want to bring (don't need any formal clothes!)

Climbing stuff:
• Harness (can be borrowed)
• HELMET (can be borrowed)
• Climbing Shoes (worth buying if you’re going to be climbing with us each week! The club doesn’t own any, BUT can be borrowed of people willing to lend them)
• Any other climbing gear you own!

Other:
• Sleeping bag – (Essential)
• Food (for Friday night, lunch and breakfast for sat/sun – Mini-busses will stop on the way)
• Alcoholic beverages for Friday (if you feel so inclined – Saturday will be catered for on this front…Meanie….)
• Towel and toiletries
• A bit of money incase the weather takes a turn for the worst and we hit an indoor wall/cafe/pub!
• A positive attitude and thirst for FUN

Non-essentials (maybe worth bringing if you’ve got them):
• Head torch
• Personal first aid kit
• Painkillers and sports drinks (for the morning after the night before)

keep watching for car lists!
The more old the gits the merrier :)

Lots of love,
Robin and Heather

Has anyone been to this place before? The address I keep finding just says its on the Main Road in Hathersage, I was trying to have a look to see if there was any space around it to throw a tent up for the night if the raucous of Saturday night proves too much!

The map takes you to the wrong place, it is on the main road and I think there is only a tarmacced car park so no space for a tent. Harry has been there so contact him?

I want to go, what sort of time do you think the cars will be setting off and can i pay on the day? If ppl are setting off early (ie pre 6/7), can drive or catch a lift with a later driver (ie pick up jack and sarah). Got a mini atm so only so much space.

Earliest leave will probably be 6pm from Guild, maybe one keen car will go in the daytime. But around 6/7 is more like it if that's good for you?

I'm technically still a student at Birmingham for 2 more weeks, however I can't make it to the sign up tomorrow. Can someone please put me down for a place (inc. transport etc.) and I'll get the monies to said someone ASAP. I'm pretty much living in the physics department nowadays so it shouldn't be a problem.

thank you kindly :]]
