Hello from a land where it's summer! Apparently it got up to 34 degrees today, but I'm not complaining! This is the end of my first day here. Table Mountain is enticiting me, I hope not to leave without climbing it! I'm hopefully doing some climbing this weekend with the guy I've got as a contact from Andy Nicholson at Redpoint, so I'll report back later on my South African climbing experience. Tomorrow I'm going on a hiking and biking tour of the Cape Peninsula to see the wild birds there. The 10 hour flight got me thinking of all the fun ubmc could have if it hired a plane and went on a club trip to South Africa - Michaf C and Rose, I'm sure you could come up with some good equator initiation games!

Hey it's all still going well! I've been wine tasting, whale watching, sea kayaking, going on safari tomorrow, and of course I've been climbing! There's lots to do here climbing wise, ubmc definitely needs a club trip to South Africa! Hope all is well in Birmingham, hope it's good weather for the bouldering!
