Phil is demonstrating a good talent for understatement here:

the forecast is very wet, very windy and fairly cold. Can every one please ensure they have changes of clothes, warm fleeces, waterproofs and a hat and gloves. I have a feeling we'll be needing them.

To reiterate Neil's point, you must bring money along this evening if you want to go on the trip.

Also, bring waterproof gear! Anyone recommend any good scrambles near Low House?

Depends how far you're willing to drive. There are a couple of great ones up Scafell including this one up Ill Crag.
This one is closer but less impressive!

I've already collected together a collection of about six or seven scrambles in the Coniston/Langdale areas with the help of Tom Green, too, so between those and the ones Andy has suggested we should be well stocked for the weekend.

Cheers Andy, I'd been thinking about heading up the Old Man of Coniston, so may well give the second a go, depending on how far people feel like going.

Cheers Neil!
Was wondering Saturday morning when we couldn't see more than 10m in front of us if we were ever going to shag but it turned out pretty good!
Low House is amazing by the way!

Thanks for a great trip Neil.
The Bell scramble was great fun, would have been a lot easier if the wind hadn't been tryin to blow us off! Thanks to Luke and Sensei Chris for their help and navigation.
Thanks for printing off these scrambles - very useful.

Tho perhaps it would be good to have another guide book for this area? Just one is a bit ridicolous considering how often we go to this area!!!!!!
