Its about time to start this thread I think! so...
Who's planning on going to the Alps this summer; where, when and who with?
Those who have been before; what was good / bad, what worked or didnt?
Has anyone got on the Conville Course?

I've got 4 week free in August and I'm thinking of spending it out there, but no plans as yet.

Since the anti-fun police are making me ride around on a quad bike all day throughout August, I'm going to be going out there straight after Cornwall for a couple of weeks before I have to graduate.

It doesn't help you much Tommy, but I just felt like saying it. :D

At the moment, I'm third-wheeling it with the Phalice-duo after the end of term. However should job opportunities not be so opportunistic, and I'm left waiting to hear from one company in September, a second trip back out to the Alps sounds like fun! :)

I've been before a couple of times and its awesome, so you should go if you get the chance. Tommy, you should DEFINITELY GO. Just do it.
If you have specific questions just ask, but Conville is good if you got on it. There is also plenty of rock stuff to do if you need it.
I can't go this year :-(

Want to go sometime after mid July so August is a definite possibility (I'm busy during the start of July :? )
Unfortunately i can't help being awfully vague at the moment...

somewhere cheap would be ideal i.e. not Chamonix!
flying is a bit of a faff.

Driving is a good option and was pretty economical if there are a few of you who want to do the same timings. Also means if the weather is crap you can bail somewhere sunnier. Although most cragging in the south of France is far to hot in August....
