completly agree with alaina... its not about committee vs the team... all i want to do is a have a great drunken time with my sports club... all my fresher freinds go out to sports nights with there other sports teams and have a mental time. climbing is probably the most athletic sport there is....

Who is james bird?
its not anything to do with the committee against anyone mate
its just the social secs have enough to organise doing socials every other week on top of their uni workload and organising annual dinner. its not that people dont wanna go, its that we dont need to organise it.
but people in the club are free to do whatever they wish, and im sure in any case that people are free to get their own tickets etc and u can invie everyone from the club. Just coz its not an official social it doesnt mean people wont go

Although it pains me to say so, Murray is RIGHT!

I am definitely up for going to sports night and not just to get wrecked.

As a first year, I've noticed that the UBMC doesn't seem 'up there' with the other clubs like football, rugby or rowing for example. Other sports probably don't really respect the UMBC, even though climbers and boulderers such as the likes of Sensei Chris Sharma, Paul Robinson, and Dani Andrada are prime athletes.

For these reasons, I think we should get more involved and dare I say, social, with other clubs.
Therefore, let's get shit-faced and tear up the Guild, pure Freshers style.
