Shoes: Boreal lynx/ Falling apart B3's
Sup guys, if you're planning on joining us in Scotland here's a list of stuff you should bring:

Boots (need to be B2 or B3 rated) **These are essential but expensive, try to grab a second hand pair or borrow them off someone in the club**
Warm Socks
Thermal bottoms (check in Aldi, often have cracking deals this time of year)
Thermal tops
Trousers that you can walk/go climbing in
Gaiters (optional but keeps the snow out your socks, and will probably save your trousers from tearing on crampons!)
Fleeces (mix of thick and thin+one for your bag as a spare)
Warm hat/balaclava/buff (needs to fit under a helmet)
Gloves (one thick waterproof pair and one thin pair to go underneath) BRING SPARES!
Waterproof jacket and trousers (maybe some old/cheap ones too for while you're getting used to crampons!)
Rucksack for climbing in (35l-50l)

Down/synthetic jacket (optional but warm, preferably comes with large melted hole in the back)
Head torch and spare batteries
Goggles
Compass

Thermos flask
Water bottles
Orange Survival bag
Roll top dry bag(s) (optional but keeps stuff in your bag dry)
Harness, Belay plate/crab and helmet (can borrow from club)
Personal first aid kit

Normal clothes
Sleeping bag for the hut (it's heated!)
Pyjamas
Teddy bear
Beard (optional, but you'll look like a badass)

Places to look:
UKC
Ebay
Outdoor gear exchange
SportPursuit
Outdoor shops (Ask committee for 20% off discount code)
TKmaxx (often have decent outdoor clothing at low prices)

Again, ask around the club to see if anyone has any boots you can borrow-If anyone has any they're willing to lend please post here :)

You can indeed, they have got toe & heel welts but i'd recommend accquiring some 'strap on' crampons to make sure.

I'm sure there will be some old strap ons in the gear cupboard you can use :thumleft:
