Shoes: la sportiva mythos
There was a notice up in Creation the other day for some Boreal Jokers size 6.5, £25. There is a phone number on the notice (next to our notice board, by the sofas).

Those Scarpa Stix are really cool shoes, I tried some on at Creation [then cheekily ordered them off Rock&Run] I'm awaiting their arrival to put them to the test.

alright deal on boreal joker size 4. Not a very technical shoe but quite comfortable. easy to try on at most shops first too.

See i've found that there pretty useless unless your on the moon wall at creation.... no smearing; poor heel, poor toe hook(downturn toe makes it difficult to toe hook) :(

Awesome if you want to beast up and down the moon wall though :D

Dave Mac would disagree with you on that one. He wore them on The Walk Of Life, smear after smear after smear. He wrote a review of them on the scarpa website. It makes interesting reading.

He also said they're the best shoe he'd ever used for toe hooking. Check out the review here (Don't read it unless you need new rock shoes though, it will make you buy them...):
http://www.scarpa.co.uk/reviews/?ProductID=0&ReviewID=28

I have a pair and the only problem I've had with them is that they're really high over the toes so they don't fit into narrow (height-ways) pockets very easily... Well it happened once, So it's probably not that much of an issue... I've also found them to be Bizarrely comfy considering their shape.

I'd definitely agree that they come do into their own on steep stuff though.

Yer they're pretty comfy, but not for smearing... Your toes are forced into all sorts of wierd positions... But yer, if Dave wore them on the big slab on the coast ( thats a lot of smearing ) they must be pretty good....
