Yorkshire Climbing Trip: 7th-9th November 2008

What: This time we'll be off to Skipton in Yorkshire for an awesome weekend of climbing (and clubbing for the hardcore).

When: 7th-9th November. We'll be meeting at 6pm at the Munrow Sports Centre, and we will be returning late on the sunday evening.

Where: Staying in a Scout hut in Skipton, unfortunately this one dosen't have beds so bring something to sleep on (if you have anything) such as a roll mat as well as a sleeping bag. There'll be games like football/cricket in the hall on the evenings as well!

Cost: £25 (£15 for drivers). Please pay as soon as possible. The deadline for payment is Wednesday 5th November. Money can be given at Redpoint today or at Creation/social next Wednesday (5th November) or ring me on 07951153862, or pop round to 212 Heeley Road

What Do I Need To Bring?:
Waterproofs
Rucksack
Climbing gear (let me know on the Friday if you need anything in particular – harness, belay plate etc.)
Sleeping bag
Something to sleep on like a roll mat (if you have anything)
Head torch (if you have one)
Food for 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and dinner for friday and saturday night (or eat before we meet on the friday)
Warm clothes

Dont worry about the bit saying they dont let you in if you are intoxicated they DEFINATLY do! This was poss one of the funniest nights of my life, you just need to look at the picture of the DJ to see why! The locals...........I'll let you find out for yourselves! If anyone can see where I can sign up to be a member on the website do tell because its £2 cheaper to get in!

Apart from the club, skipton is a great place for a trip arguably the best grit around, and if it stays dry(ish) will be an amazing weekend!

YES!!!!!! This place is amazing, great climbing and like Michaf C said possibly the most amazing night for clubing ever last year.
If only nick fishbourne was coming!!!

Hey guys just thought i should let you know my finger is a bit messed up at the mo (deep cut), so i wont be able to come on the climbing trip. Sorry!!! Feel free to offer my place around, and i will pay those subs eventually.

Is everyone intersted in going to strata in fancy dress? Me and tammy were talking about this and we thought slags and vicars.....guys as slags girls as vicars!

ok, vicars is a little challenging, so we've decided on pimps and ho's, boys as ho's girls as pimps.
GET INVOLVED, can't wait to see the special locals' faces when we rock up to strada!
p.s if you've got a vicar's outfit at home i think you should wear it anyway!

I LOVE strata sooooooooo much!

Quality weekend, climbing was poor but the people and the fun times made up for it. For those of you who lost your strata viginities this weekend, normal clubs will never be the same!

Left over in either my car or the hut is the following:

Jacks Shorts which absolutely STINK.
James' Chalk bad,
Someone's Purple sleeping bag
Faith's Shoes which also STINK
A pair of grey/navy jeans, potentialy new look brand.

various socks which ive disposed off as they are wet and smelly.
Cocky's Dmm Alpine Harness.

All of the above items will be travelling to Creation on Wednesday for this who arent in the competition and those who are, we'll sort that out if it comes up.
