It's that time of year when we recruit the new faces of UBMC!

We have been very popular at the freshers stall this week..... and so, inevitably we will be getting lots of little freshlings coming to shag on Wednesday!!! :D HOOORRRAYYY!!!

In order to make the day run smoothly we will need some enthusiastic members who would be happy to lend a hand! Most of us were taught by older members at some point, and so it would be great to give new people the opportunities we did!!!!

The plan...

Freshers are coming to the guild at 1pm on wednesday the 30th, they will be arriving at Redpoint at about 2pm.

Redpoint are providing lots of staff to reduce the mahem and will be providing staff to help with teaching.

So, get your UBMC attire on and come down! Even if you don't help with teaching you can show off your climbing or even just have a chat!

Who's up for it?

Rose x x x

This year we have booked a one-way coach to run Fresher's from the Guild to Redpoint. This will be at a cost of £2 each. Once at Redpoint we will sort out return taxis there.
If there are any existing club members who would like to travel on this coach over and meet some Freshers or just travel over you are more than welcome.
Meet at the Guild at 1.00pm for departure at 1.30pm.

Do the freshers have to pay for that coach?!

I'm afraid I won't be able to help this week (sorry!) as am in lectures till 4.30, but will hopefully be able to lend a hand in the next couple of weeks. good luck!

I'm in lectures until one but can run past the guild from my house to redpoint at about half one for anyone that would like a lift. if not ill just carry on my merry way. Ive got a couple of mates interested in having a go so might drive them instead of them gettin the coach. is there anything they need to do before they get to redpoint?

Well Alaina, i live on harrow road but i figure il drive by the guild at about half one and any people that want a lift cant just hop in there. so get to the guild for half one and look out for a shiny blue vauxhal corsa with an orange blob in it, and that will be me in my hoody :D x

I can help as well... might try and head there before 1 to dodge the queues and try and get a monthly pass... They told me they don't do any student/UBMC discounts for the monthly passes! :( ... I'm going to go back and talk to somebody else and see what they say.

They definitely do, there's a big poster somewhere on reception saying so!
