If you’ve not heard of the Annual Dinner trip yet then where have you been?! It’s only the biggest and best trip of the year!! Current Stoats, Old Gits and members from the Midlands Association of Mountaineering (MAM) will all make their way to glorious North Whales for a weekend of climbing, festivites and a classy 3 course meal. This is a trip you do not want to miss out on!
When: Friday 12th - Sunday 14th of February. Meet at outside the Munrow Sports Centre at 6pm on Friday.
Where: We’ll be heading to Tremadog in North Whales, staying in the infamous Eric’s Bunkhouse (http://www.ericjones-tremadog.co.uk/) complete with hot showers, a (very small) kitchen and Eric’s Climber Cafe across the road - perfect for that hangover breakfast on Sunday! What’s more it’s only a mere 10 meters from the crag!
How much? The price of this trip is £60 (£50 for drivers) and includes a three course meal, wine, meanie, accommodation and transport there and back.
What’s the Saturday night dealio?
Saturday night is time to get suited up and looking glamorous (for a change) so remember to bring along your sharpest suit and dashing dresses! After much merrymaking and meanie drinking we’ll be heading to the Royal Goat Hotel to enjoy a three course meal with wine as well as some speeches and exciting prizes!
How do I sign up? **Sign ups will be on Tuesday 19th of January at 8pm** Sign ups will be through a google docs form which will be released on the Facebook event page. This is an extremely popular trip and places will fill up very quickly so make sure you sign up ASAP so you don’t miss out! Once you’ve signed up with your details and menu choices you will need to pay in the following week to secure your place.
What to bring: Smart clothes for the Saturday night Lots of warm clothes - thermals, fleeces, down jackets, hats, gloves, buffs etc Waterproofs Comfortable shoes to walk to the crag in Roll matt (if you have one bring it along!) Warm sleeping bag Headtorch A stove or something to cook with - not essential but the kitchen is very limited Any climbing equipment you own - shoes, helmets, harness etc (although you can borrow a club helmet + harness if you don’t have any yet!)
