First of all the aims thread gets me so psyched!! So many possibilities for the new year!
Secondly I've done the typical old git thing of climbing less and running etc. more (I never thought it would happen to me  ) my aims are probably going to reflect this...

So in rough chronological order throughout the year:

Skiing:
Finish in the top 10 overall in the SkiMo Scotland Race series (it's a fairly niche race so should be achievable)
Ski down a graded winter route (this is very much at the mercy of the weather)

Running:
Get some Walshes (old school fell running shoes) Done
Do the Cadair Idris race
Beat the train in the race the train race (14 miles hilly cross country in under 1hr 42)
Do a half marathon faster than my first last year
Do a classic running challenge (Welsh 3000's?)

Climbing (I should at least be light from all the running):
Font 7C
The standard more routes, problems etc. than last year
Tick some classics in the Lakes and Whales
20 pull ups in a row/a one armer
Crush an (unripe) apple in my hand

Other
Learn to surf
Graduate (finally)
Get a job...
Make something cool

It's going to be a busy year!

First of all recover from my shoulder surgery and get a good degree.

Summer 2014

Cycle Lands End's to John'O Groat
Lead another E6 (headpoint).
Lead Right Wall (Cromlech) possibly ground-up depending on fitness and some classics in Huntsmans Leap and the Slate quarries.
shag around north Whales and Scotland including the Old Man of Hoy with KEEN FRESHER.
Continue the deep water solo rampage of the south - climbing Mark of the Beast.
shag and fall of the top of Freeborn Man a few more times (not giving myself another enema) and complete all its variations.
Hang the Beastmaker 45s

World Trip Oct- onwards
shag some big 'free' climbs in Yosemite and more importantly have a scatty crag poo while in a hanging belay. While in Verdon last summer I thought it could be possible.
shag Midlighting (V9) in Camp 4 'possibly the most famous boulder problem in the world'.
Crush Bishop and the Buttermilks.
Have a grim night out in Vegas and bivvy near area 51.
shag so more 7c's and redpoint sport 8a while in the Grampians.

Stay uninjured and continue mine and my brothers 'scatty crush fest' of the world.

I have a lot to do this year:
Bouldering;
get 1 7a ticked
As many other ticks as possible

Trad;
Place a nutkey as gear
Lead HVS,
maybe lead 1 E1?!
Top-rope an E9 for laughs
Try some more of this 'jamming' business
Get as many ticks as possible

Sport;
redpoint a 7a
realistically redpoint 6c
onsight 6b

Other Stuff;
Grow my beard long enough so it takes longer to dry than my hair
Go climbing abroad this summer, i am not fussy where
rate every song on my itunes
do a one armer off gatecrasher's DJ booth
beat LARD-HUNTER in a game of +1
do a bathang for a rest
cycle home from brum (exeter)
find motivation to do school work
get on committee one way or another
shag a mountain

Well up for some more free born man action, taking big air despite the ball crushing falls! Got to get the backflip down from the viewing ledge by the end of next summer too!!!!

A slight update. Sport climbing going well, trad climbing pretty non existent and bouldering is still just as f*cking hard as it always was.

Trad
(Peak) Strapadictomy, Nosferatu
(N.W.) Resurrection
Trad has been moved to the sidelines for now as I have been concentrating on sport. Looking forward to putting some of the endurance gains to good use soon though.

Bouldering
F7C - most likely jerry's roof. Have not been back on it at all.
West side story, Suavito, T crack, Mark's roof, Tetris. Have had a few sessions on some of these with no success, waiting for cooler temps before trying again.
Campus 1, 4, 7. Can do 1, 4, 6.5 - getting there.
Did my first full one armer a few months ago and then 2 consecutive one armers a few weeks ago!

Sport
Trip to Ceuse this summer Going on the 13th of September
Redpoint 7c Redpointed 7b+ in Cheedale over 2 sessions and 5 tries, now need to pick a 7c project.
Onsighted a 7a in Cheedale - wasn't one of my aims but was pretty pleased.

General
learn to drive Have had 3 lessons
ace my exams! Done!
continue training hard Training is going well so far.

Ski down a graded winter route (this is very much at the mercy of the weather) hasn't worked out so far but hopefully there will be lots of early snow this year!

Running:
Get some Walshes (old school fell running shoes) Done!
Do the Cadair Idris race Done! Came 63rd of 213
Beat the train in the race the train race (14 miles hilly cross country in under 1hr 48) Done beat the train by 2 mins and came 162nd out of 768
Do a half marathon faster than my first last year. Potentially doing the bristol half in a few weeks time
Do a classic running challenge (Welsh 3000's?) No plans so far...

Climbing (I should at least be light from all the running):
Font 7C I've done little bouldering this year, maybe in the autumn?
The standard more routes, problems etc. than last year I've done almost double the number of trads than in any other year and all over the past 2 months. Getting there on the others, but have lots more climbing to do. (Yay!)
Tick some classics in the Lakes and W.ales Our recent trad push has meant we've done lots of classics and on the whole they've all been awesome!
20 pull ups in a row/a one armer Been doing lots of running and climbing so haven't had much energy to train this specifically
Crush an (unripe) apple in my hand Still progressing through the captains of cruch grippers I have, one day I'll be strong like Stevie http://steviehaston.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/i-always-wanted-expensive-train-set-i.html

Other
Learn to surf Had a few days in the sea so far this year learning a lot each time.
Graduate (finally) Done! And I got a 1st!
Get a job... Got paid to do some instructing the other day, didn't realise there was such a thing as top ropers thumb. Working on something to do full time.
Make something cool Haven't started anything yet...

Had a really productive first half of the year really psyched for more adventures in the second half! I'm excited for some UBMC trips next term!
