Quietus really needs doing. Quite a lot of cool looking stuff on Higgar Tor as well.

Ahhhh Quietus, a real Extreme shag...

Me and Mark were talking about that route, we've both looked through those photos on ukc and each learnt one thing, it looks damn hard.

I'm still workin through those past dogged failures, so anybody for a daytrip to sennen?

Shoes: 5.10 til I die!
not posted here for a while.

5 1-arm pull ups left/right done
7c+ done
Be able to run on my god-damned retarded ankle - not done, 8months and counting :(

Managed the doable ones, nothing specific left really, I'd like to do my first trad before 2011 though, kindof depends on my ankel, although I'm not going to try anything that looks pants :)

...or like it'd make me poo my pants ^^

I'd also like to do rubicon roof, as it and I have unfinished business, asides from that no specifics climbeywise, I wouldn't have dreamt that I'd be able to do so much this summer post cripplage, being able to move at speed on 2 legs would be a pretty nice christmas present to top it off though!

After a little thought, i whipped together these as a few (rough/ambitious) aims for this year..

comfortable on V5,
lead a 7a/+ indoors,
just do an outdoor sport lead -
if that goes well then 6b/c outdoors,
lead more HVS, and maybe
lead the flying buttress direct!!

this will be entertaining..

Seeing as there's a matter of weeks until the new year, how are people getting on with these? Anybody managed all of theirs or wanting to set some last minute compromise aims to get done before the new year kicks in?

-1)Get up the moon wall at creation
-2)Be able to do a meaningful amount of pull-ups on a regular basis
-3)Find a soft, non-slabby, Font 6a with actual holds and get up the bloody thing
-4)Keep avoiding using ropes like the plague (though I'm not sure why :s)
On second thoughts, maybe actually learn to belay and all that other jazz

1) Achieved many, many times in a variety of ways.
2) This was achieved at least for a while, though on a recent count I still struggle to do more than 7 even on the biggest of jugs so this may require some attention over the holidays
3) Managed to get up to a couple of font 7a/+ climbs in Parisella's and did a soft font 7a on grit which pretty much made my year. Also managed a font 6a slab but still have no idea how to shag these things really.
4) This one still requires a LOT of work, may be trying to remedy it with Ste at Redpoint over the next couple of weeks.

Carrying on from last years aims of 2009 what aims do people have for the great upcoming year of 2010
mine are
Boulder font 7a/7b
Sport 6c/7a
Trad get some more vs under my belt and do an hvs
get some ice climbing done
go to font
learn some technique

possible will be hard impossible

so far:
done font 7b
done sport 7a
been to font

new aims
do some more font 7b's font 7c?
consolidate sport 7a sport 7b try for 7c
not bother doing trad unless its on club trips
still want to do some ice climbing
still working on the technique

things to do
boulder: clever beavers/cleavers and from low start t-crack simple simon many many others at parisellas
sport: no idea need to find some good ones
trad: flying butress direct then no more

ok so.....
done a couple of font 7b's and a 7b+ not yet done a 7c but then havent had much chance to get outdoors
done a fair few 7a's now and a 7a+ but still no 7b
no trad done so sucess :D
still not done ice climbing yet (couldnt afford scotland) :(
Possibly got some technique although thats fairly debateable
not done any of my problems I wanted to do :(
all in all a reasonable sucess.
