Hi guys,

As I'm sure many of you are aware, the new academic term has begun and that means only one thing...STANAGE is upon us once again. The trip will be running from the 7th -9th October, and being one of the best trips of the year, I'm sure many of you are planning on coming. Just to make things a little easier for me and Louise, could you just give us a rough idea of who's planning on coming, and how/ when you're planning on coming? And whether you'll need a space in a car? And of course, if any of you wish to/ can drive from Birmingham that would be absolutely fantastic!

big love
S&L

Yes we are back at Pindale once again! (as long as we keep the meanie bin undercover from what I've heard...)

If you guys are making your own way there then awesome, and we'll just let you know how much the accom, meanie and ming will be each.

It'll be 'reet. We only got 'told off' last time because there was a Dof E group camping in the field next door and they complained about the noise. The owners arent that bothered!

I'll be there.

It is quite likely I'll have a rather empty car leaving from brum if it helps at all.

Phil, can we put you down as a driver then and put a couple people in your car? (You'll get a tenner off...)
Are you planning on leaving the same time as us from the Munrow?

Hey guys, Very important notice: we are NOT staying at Pindale anymore!
we are now staying at the Foundry Activity Centre.

here's a link to their website:
http://www.greatadventures.co.uk/foundr ... tion___lwn

You can find the address on there and some directions

Also, just to let you know we are staying in Unit 1 of the building. But as there are only 31 beds, can you guys please camp as the new members will be getting the beds and we are cramming the extra 20ish current members on roll mats/sofas in the building....
There is a field right next to the building where you can pitch your tents, and it means that when you've had enough of the raucous you can get a decent sleep...
Hope that's OK with y'all

Hope you're all as excited as everyone up in Brum is!
Seeya Friday! :D

Camping in the rain! Nice!

I've stayed in this place before and it's pretty huge, I think there'll be floor space for everyone, it's bigger than the huts we've stayed in in the past...

Also Old Gits don't usually become members, and we usually pay our way with our wealth of experience and stories of the good old days by the fire.

Unfortunately you wont be able to get old gits to join the club just to be able to go on Stanage. There is nothing in it for us if we join, i.e. we have our own gear, have transport, we don't need teaching, many will/have joined MAM so have access to MAM huts, and many have BMC insurance or similar, or don't care about being insured!

Fortunately for me, I have my own BMC insurance so I can kill myself as many times as I like!

Also Tom is right, the place is massive! I'm sure there wont be a shortage of room. Plus if everyone pays for the hut but you only have to pay for 31 people, then you are quids in!

See you friday
