For all UBMC members stuck somewhere between a revision rock and an exam hard place, allow me to offer this excellent light at the end of the tunnel - it's nearly time for the summer trip!

Where: This year it is the turn of the rather beautiful Cornwall. We'll be staying at Tower Parks Caravans and Camping in Penzance and I have dutifully made sure that both beach and pub are within walking distance. And for those interested in a grotty club akin to the infamous 'Paddles' from Pembroke 2012 - don't worry, I'm looking.

When: Saturday the 1st of June to Friday the 7th of June. It will be a very early leave on the Saturday morning. I am also aware some members/old gits intend to make their way down on Friday night. The campsite are fine with this but PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING BECAUSE IT MAKES MY LIFE EASIER.

How much Dollah!?:Because it's not as grotty as Pembroke, it's a touch more expensive. The set charge for drivers is £35 and for non-drivers £45. It's then £5 a night on top of that for drivers, and £7 for non-drivers.

What do I need to bring: We're going to be camping all week so it's tents ahoy - if you don't have one then team up with friends and other club members. Alternatively, there's always the tents in the gear cupboard. Long live the Eiger cubed!
On top of tents you'll need:
Sleeping bags
Roll mats
Waterproofs (it's generally the summer trip in name only)
Any climbing gear you own
Head torches
Anything else you'd bring for a trip

SOME IMPORTANT NOTES

I am aware Gradball is on the 6th of June and also intend to come back for it. IF YOU WANT TO BE COMING BACK IN TIME FOR GRADBALL THEN YOU NEED TO LET ME KNOW ASAP. This will be especially useful if you are a driver and will allow me to get it all sorted for you in time :)

More importantly than this however is the small matter of the Cornwall tee-shirts. It will be hard to measure up to last years intense* yellow, but we've done our best - this year they will be a fetching** shade of lime green. There will be a t-shirt design contest posted shortly for all who wish to get creative and enter.

And I think that about covers it.

Big love,
Hev

Would it be possible for me to come down on Sunday 2nd June? I am volunteering at ValeFest on Saturday all day so won't be able to come down that day.

I also need to be back from gradball so if there's a car going back on the 5th that would be ideal!

P.S. KEEN FRESHER COOPER ARE YOU STILL MY TENT BUDDY? (don't say no)

Tragically, it transpires that there are no ferries from Penzance to Pembroke.

This looks smashing, I'll have to travel back for gradball after investing half my savings in the Great Hall meal but I really fancy a summer trip for a change!

I'll be obviously coming and driving the yellow devil too so we can try to break the record of number of ubmc members in my car! However I can't come for the whole time, so can be one of the drivers who head back early with some grad ballers! As for heading out there, I'm contemplating whether to go on the 2nd as I'm hoping to be immobile on the 1st due to last exam antics the night before. So yah, I reckon the 2nd. I canny wait!!

I might, or I might go to Spain where the sun may actually appear.

I may ask to reserve a place in your car if this is the case? My last exam is on the 31st so a heavy night will likely occur so leaving on the 2nd and returning in time for gradball would be pretty perfect!

Dear "hev",

I will be attending this most prestigious and prodigal, periodical event and will hopefully, happily and heroically have to travel from my abode in the devon to meet up with you gays in the cornwall.

See you guys on the 1st.

PS I like the sound of the "fetching" shirts and do we yet know how much Wonga this will take?
